I had a trip to England last weekend for a show in the lovely town of Marlborough. It was originally scheduled as an album release show, but for various reasons the release has been delayed till September in England. However, the show must go on. I was joined on this occasion by the singer Rowan Godel and we had a great evening in the 600 year old St Peter’s Church. The acoustics were good and there was a fine grand piano there too, I played it on 3 songs. Rowan sang with me on 6 songs, and I previewed all the songs from the new album. Thanks to everybody that turned up, especially Benn and Ida, all the way from Stavanger just for the show, and to Rowan too, who sang beautifully with almost no rehearsal. It was a memorable evening for me. Rowan and I also had a warm up the night before at the Trowbridge Village Pump Folk Club which we played totally acoustic. Here are some pictures taken by Steve Mathews at Marlborough.
